Stannis is a member of the Guardians of Night’s Hope, who is based out of Shallamas. She was first encountered by the group when being rescued from the Hive Man, and appears to report to Selah.
She is a former associate of Salianna Stone, but their relationship soured when Stannis abandoned the Handlers to join the Guardians of Night’s Hope, and has been on the run ever since. She has said that Stannis is not her original name, and that her features are different from what they used to be.
She has suggested that she was originally recruited by Mamma Jerrun.
